Following the proven success of Powersports on the off-road bike scene, Evans Waterless Coolants has launched Powersports-R, a coolant created specifically for road and sports bikes to maximise engine performance.
Being waterless, Evans Powersports-R does not have the physical and chemical limitations of other coolants. It has a boiling point above 180 eliminating overheating, boil-over and after boil, while allowing the cooling system to run at a lower pressure, reducing strain on hoses and other engine components. Powersports-R eliminates engine hotspots improving combustion and maximising BHP. And because there is no water in the fluid there’s no corrosion either. It is one of the easiest and best ways to protect your bike.
Niall Mackenzie, 3 times British Superbike Champion, painstakingly restored a 1982 Yamaha LC350, a bike very close to his heart. Niall decided to run Evans Powersports-R after hearing good things from his friends in the BSB paddock.
'When I was restoring my Yamaha 350LC with Classic Motorcycle Mechanics, Evans products came highly recommended by staff members. I wanted the best for my LC so listened to their advice. My bike has been 100% reliable since the build and I'm happy to say all is perfect in the coolant department'
Evans Coolants are the first choice for the Honda World MX team and many other factory and independent racing teams including Kawasaki, Yamaha, TM and most recently KTM UK.
'We are grateful with the support given to us by Evans Coolants and more importantly the quality of the product and its attributes. We have found the Evans Waterless Coolant not only allows the engine to run much cooler, but the stable and consistent manner in the way it does; gives us confidence of maintaining the maximum efficiency from our race engines without fear of boiling over'. Mark Yates (Technical co-ordinator HM Plant KTM UK)
Evans lasts much, much longer than traditional long-life coolants and many engines have had Evans in for 16 years without the need for change-out.
